Background

Through the DE and PriDE survey mechanism, the Medical Centre, Education Centre and Establishment Hub at Combermere Barracks, Windsor were identified as requiring upgrade due to defective and ageing felt flat roof surfaces, and associated internal drainage systems. The internal drains caused maintenance access problems and as they were of small diameter these continually blocked, causing further water ingress and damage. Bringing the down pipe onto the outside of the buildings was a requirement of the overall replacement solution.

PriDE had successfully installed an Ashjack Roofing System to six accommodation blocks and administration buildings at Victory College, RMA Sandhurst. Consequently the Combermere delivery was amended from a replacement flat felt roof to the bespoke pitched Ashjack system, bringing clear value for money and whole life cost advantages.
